Fashion Show
This is our latest invitation that will be going out only to exclusive buyers, stylists, and press. One of my duties is to manage the RSVP list.
We had the opportunity to promote our fashion show on KTLA Monday morning! It was a great way to make it clear to the world that L.A. Fashion Week is not cancelled this year! There are tons of great events going on this entire week!
The biggest struggle for me this week has been to balance out my school work and my internship. Its tough having finals during the most crucial days of planning and promoting! But luckily tomorrow is my last final and then all of my focus is on making this show be as close to perfect as possible!!

L.A. Fashion Weekend

L.A. Fashion Weekend is March 20th - 22nd. The Gallery Los Angeles is producing a fashion show on Friday March 20th. There will be three designers showcasing their Fall lines. Aside from the fashion show, the Gallery L.A. will be showcasing different designers in the showroom for buyers to see throughout L.A. Market Week.
Working during this period has been a great opportunity. I have been able to learn about each small detail that it takes to produce a fashion show. I have definitely had to put my networking skills to the test! One of my tasks has been to contact different companies to sponsor the event or find designers to participate. With the help of my contacts made at my former internship at Legacy Entertainment, I have been able to find great brands to contribute to the gift bags and even sponsor!
Once the designers and sponsors are set up, the pressure is on to produce a great fashion show! Next week will consist of working with buyers coming by the showroom, casting models, making sure that press and buyers attend the fashion show, and basically making sure that all of the small tasks are covered and accomplished.
The Gallery L.A.

The Gallery Los Angeles is a Public Relations and Marketing firm that mainly represents Eco-Friendly designers. It is located in the Cooper Building in the Los Angeles Fashion District. Mikey Koffman, founder and my boss, is an extraordinary entrepreneur who has gone from working in the custom motorcycle business, having her own clothing line, and now having a public relations and marketing firm.
My duties as their intern consists of building up marketing lists by adding contacts from networking events, business cards, magazine articles, company profiles, etc. I also get to meet emerging designers and assist in ways of building up their brand, whether it is getting them into showrooms, pitches in magazines, or including them in trade shows. A big part of working for them is also the opportunity to work in L.A. Fashion week.

The Gallery L.A. coordinates the ECollection sector of the WWDMAGIC tradeshow in Las Vegas. I had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas for three days and assist in the show. My job mainly consisted of making sure that retailers attending the show knew where to go and had the necessary information. Aside from working in the event, I also was able to walk through the POOL and Project tradeshows.
I had never been to Las Vegas, so it was great to have some down time to enjoy its amazing night life!

Working On My Portfolio

My roommate and I had a great time on the shoot of my portfolio. I wanted to capture a certain mood of rebelliousness and fun in the outfits and location that I chose. In combination with Photoshop and my good friend/photographer Vanda Jones, I think I did a pretty good job in executing the looks I was going for.
